Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber give each other a kiss on the cheek while meeting up backstage at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 19) in Las Vegas.

The 20-year-old singer/actress and the 19-year-old singer both performed at the show that evening and were rumored to sit together during the telecast.

Selena and Justin‘s meetup was captured on Billboard’s backstage feed after the show. Check out the video below to see the meeting (along with a fan’s funny commentary).

Justin Bieber didn't show a whole lot humility when he accepted the 2013 Billboard Music Awards' fan-voted Milestone Award, which is given to an artist who shows the most musical ingenuity and innovation. The Canadian pop star beat out Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars to be the first recipient of the award, and he made it clear that he feels he deserves it.

"I'm 19 years old. I think I'm doing a pretty good job," Bieber says in his speech. "Basically from my heart I really just want to say it really should be about to music. It should be about the craft that I'm making. This is not a gimmick and I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously."

The crowd in attendance actually booed for Bieber because of those comments as he went on to thank his manager Scooter Braun, his mother and family and Jesus Christ for his success. While the camera scanned the crowd for reaction shots, Swift could be seen clapping for Bieber's win while his ex, Selena Gomez, sat down almost immediately after Bieber's name was called. This was Bieber's second win of the night.

Miguel caused a stir at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday when he appeared to land on a female audience member’s head while jumping from the stage into the crowd.

While the ill-timed leap briefly turned turned the show into a WWE wrestling event, Miguel later brought the woman backstage for an interview, and she was (fortunately) not seriously hurt.

Pitbull and Christina Aguilera took to the stage Sunday night at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and performed their latest hit Feel This Moment.

The duo were one of many who performed at the star-studded event and sang with special guest.

Pitbull was nominated in the Top Rap Artist category on Sunday. He kicks off his tour with Tik Tok singer Ke$ha later his month, beginning on May 23 in the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA. Tickets are on sale now on Ticketmaster.

Aguilera is set to make her return to The Voice this fall but before she does, taking her post as a judge back from Shakira. Aguilera is also focusing on her music. On May 15 she tweeted a photo revealing that she is filming a new music video with Alejandro Fernandez. Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti (Today I Feel Like It) is their new duet.

Aguilera and Pitbull performed on Sunday along with a slew of other musical acts, including Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Icona Pop, Macklemore with Ryan Lewis and more. In a rare occurrence Prince also performed, the same night he was given the Billboard Icon Award.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards took place at Las Vegas' MGM Garden Arena and aired live on ABC.
